As far as the rest of the injury report for the 49ers it looks something like this...
Did not Participate in Practice
SS Reggie Smith (groin)
LB Takeo Spikes (shoulder)
Limited Participation in Practice
DE Ray McDonald (ankle)
Full Participation in Practice
DT Aubrayo Franklin (knee)
CB Marcus Hudson (shoulder)
RB Michael Robinson (shoulder)
Takeo Spikes could very well miss this game if isn't 100% as the team doesn't want to risk serious injury with such an important player. If Takeo went down for the season that would be both Spikes and Ulbrich on IR with not many options to backup the TED linebacker position. Definitely of note is SS Reggie Smith, who has spent the whole season on the "Out" list makes his first appearance on something indicating he could be back for Sunday's game. Still, 49ers fans don't really know what they have in Reggie Smith, who was very impressive in college but has yet to do anything on the professional level.
For the Colts, the injury report is full of bright hopes for the 49ers including Donald Brown and Dwight Freeney. Still, Freeney isn't expected to miss any time and figures to play on Sunday. If he were to miss I'd still give the Colts the advantage, but perhaps a slightly lesser one at that.
Did not Participate in Practice
RB Donald Brown (shoulder)
DE Dwight Freeney (knee)
DT Eric Foster (shoulder)
WR Anthony Gonzalez (knee)
CB Marlin Jackson (knee)
K Adam Vinatieri (right knee)
WR Reggie Wayne (groin)
That's it for the injury report right now.
